Another delicious lunch at Honduras Kitchen! Check out the two previous times we ate at this restaurant here and here. This time, we went with my guy’s coworker who bought a Groupon after reading my posts. Fun!
By the way, you are in the presence of royalty… or at least Yelp royalty! I’m the Duchess here, so that’s fun. My first title! 😉
Now, to the food!
A very typical dish delicious and complete, served with rice, beans, Honduran cheese, eggs, a small piece of steak, chimol, sour cream and fried plantains.
A little bit of everything to sample. Delicioso!
A fried chicken leg quarter. Served with rice, beans, salad, chimol, and fried plantains, banana, or ripe plantain and finalize with Honduran sauce on top.
Fried chicken. I mean really, it can’t be beat!
A large bowl of soup with tilapia blended with coconut milk. Mixed with banana, green plantain, ripe plantain and more. Served with white rice and lemon.
This was the dish I ordered. I’m always looking to try something different to find new favorites. By the way, wondering where the fish is in the picture above? Well… here it is!
I totally loved it and it remind me of a Thai curry in soup form. Apparently it isn’t for everyone because my guy wasn’t a huge fan. Then again, he doesn’t like when fish has lots of bones…
…and it did. Besides that, all of us loved the chips, the fresh juices, and the rest of the dishes for sure. We’ll definitely be back, and my guy may order something besides the fried chicken, but I doubt it. He’s hooked! As for me, I’ll decide on my next dish on a whim, as I always do. 🙂
