There is one drawback to cooking mostly with vegetables at home. Every so once in a while… I crave meat!
We were out running errands and needed to grab a quick bite. I knew that at home I only had Halloween leftovers and some ingredients for my favorite salad, so it made sense to stock on some protein for lunch. I had seen Fuji Grill locations from time to time, but never tried it. It is a smaller chain, so I was wary, but it was not bad at all. Here is what we ate!
Nothing fancy on the outside… I didn’t take a picture, but I thought you might want to see, so I sourced a picture from Yelp. 🙂
Pretty self explanatory in that it is half chicken and half steak, served with a few veggies and a huge amount of regular white rice. It really hits the spot without a hit on your wallet!
I ordered this bowl, which came with rice seasoned with rice vinegar (otherwise known as sushi rice) and it came with a large piece of salmon and some imitation crab. I replaced some of the rice for veggies, and it came with some edamame, like above.
All in all, not a bad bargain, and I had my protein fix. Win win!
