While researching info for my post about Domenico’s 60th anniversary, I wanted to confirm that the restaurant was the oldest in Long Beach. It is, but when Fish Tale came up in the search as the oldest seafood restaurant, I noticed an interesting headline. Apparently, the oldest seafood in Long Beach will change hands in a couple of weeks when it closes its doors on August 1st.
My parents used to eat there years ago before I was born, and I thought it was fitting that we drop in for my first and last visit to say hello and goodbye!
I actually used to take Yoga in the studio just above the restaurant. 🙂 And yes, it is sandwiched between that and an IHOP.
The inside decor is something that I can only descry as beachy pub. 🙂
Now, to the food!
Includes fresh garlic whipped potatoes or rice pilaf or baked potato with fresh vegetable and sourdough bread.
And that’s it! Who takes up the mantle as oldest seafood restaurant in Long Beach now? I’ll start my detective work now… 🙂
