I had a free night and decided to make it a girl’s night out with my mom at Crème de la Crêpe! I adore crêpes, and I believe the last time I ate one was sometime in Paris last year. Mon dieu!
It was one of those misty, dark nights, so it is hard to see the restaurant. You’ll have to imagine that during the day the outdoor seating is super cute, but we were headed inside!
So much menu to peruse, but I knew that I definitely wanted to save room for dessert. 🙂
My mom loves escargots, and she declared that this was one of the best that she has had in a long time, the last time being at Bouchon!
I checked out the specials board and decided to order the Tomato Basil soup. My favorite!
It came in a cute little crock and a ton of bread! I just used the croutons. 🙂
Now, let’s take a quick peek at the restaurant itself. Nice big wooden table in the middle. I love it! Also, I nice conspicuous French flag in the corner. But of course!
How fun is this poem on the ceiling? I actually translated it online because the only words I recognized were cheese, happy, and a few other items. Yep, the important words!
My mom ordered the paté, which was ridiculously huge!
Sweet batter crêpe with crab meat, shrimp, tomato, bell & jack cheese
My mom and I decided to split this one, and it was divine! Here is a peek of the inside.
Lots of seafood and veggies!
And of course, we had to order a dessert crêpe.
Dulce de leche with mango & vanilla ice cream
I left it up to my mom to order the dessert crêpe. I was a little iffy on the dulce de leche and mango combination. Boy was I wrong!
A nice light dinner that I cannot wait to recreate again. Maybe I will be adventurous next time and build my own crêpe. Fun!
