This is going to be a short and sweet post, which is perfect because this Candle Light Bakery is a bakery with short and sweet items!
My friend Mair (who is starting her own blog soon) came over to hang out for a bit, and she brought along cookies and cream puffs from a bakery I hadn’t heard of. SUCH. AMAZING. COOKIES! Let’s take a peek at what she brought me. 🙂
Here’s the bag she handed me. All that buttery goodness turned the bottom translucent. Yum!
These are the cookies I had the pleasure of eating. Nom, nom, nom. Yes, I’m a cookie monster!
If I would have known how awesome they were, I would have taken better pictures. 🙁 Just so you know, there were jam filled cookies with raspberry and apricot, plus Mexican wedding cookies. Normally, I think Mexican wedding cookies are dry and crumbly… not these! Wonderfully nutty and almost moist, I would definitely order these myself!
As for the cream puffs, I had just eaten an amazing one at Beard Papa. This was surprisingly great! It was almost a cross between a cream puff and a donut hole, which I know sounds odd. 🙂 Mair grabbed the guava and original flavors for us to sample. Both great, but I’m a sucker for guava-flavored anything!
I am definitely looking forward to having another visit from my sweet treat-toting friend, and maybe I can get my sister to consider them for her wedding cake. Ooh, cake testing session! 🙂
