By now, you know that I love my donuts! So when my birthday rolled around this month, clearly I received birthday donuts from one of my best friends instead of a regular cake. She knows me so well!
This special delivery came from the wonderful California Donuts, and I received five donuts. Yes, five! Truth be told, the box lasted right around five minutes…
Let’s take a donut tour! 🙂
Normally, I would take you through the store and all of the options, but since I received a donut delivery, it will have to wait until next time. Let’s go!
Adorable! M&Ms always make everything pretty, don’t they? Also, since these are mini M&Ms, they don’t overwhelm the soft, puffy donut.
I adore a pink donut, and I love the unusual combination of strawberries and nuts. Definitely one to order again!
This was an unexpectedly really good one as well! I loved the crispy bits on top, and the rest of the frosting was creamily delicious. 🙂
Here’s a bite out of my donut, so you can so fluffy it is. Nom!
This one is possibly the most gorgeous of the donuts. A little tiny work of art that tastes great too! 😉
Lesson learned here… Don’t snuggle two donuts up next to each other, or you risk cross-contaminating the frosting. :p Some of matcha green tea frosting rubbed off, but no biggie. 🙂
Also, yes this is a donut inspired by the Simpsons! You thought it looked familiar, didn’t you?
I envision another post in the future with more flavors and cute decorations! There are so many to choose from on their menu, and I’m definitely leaning towards the Blueberry Toast Crunch, Reeses Peanut Butter, and Blueberry Cake flavors. I am extra excited to try a cake variety because they’re usually my favorite, and these ones were all raised. It’s going to be a fun taste test next time! So what’s your preferred kind of donut…
