Bouchon (Las Vegas, NV)

This is Bouchon‘s 5th appearance on my two blogs in less than a year!  Wow!  The first appearance was for Mother’s Day Brunch in L.A., while the second and third times were dinners in Las Vegas.  The fourth time was for the Carnival of Cuisine just yesterday with their scrumptious macarons and hot chocolate.

You might think that we have tried everything on the menu by now, but the dish below was something I had not tried before, and it was well worth the wait!

Here is a peek at the brunch menu, so you can see all of the deliciousness we had to choose from!

Every meal starts with the Pain d’Epi, which is very difficult not to completely tear apart before the appetizers arrive!

I love the ambiance of this restaurant!  Open and intimate at the same time.  🙂

Back to the food!  Trying to counteract my entree, I ordered a Tropical Fruit Salad.  Delicious!

Someone else ordered the Moules au Safran et â la Moutarde.  Now that I have been to Belgium, I know what that means…

Fries!

Since it was brunch time, some people ordered breakfast items like this Gravlax, described as a “smoked salmon with a petite baguette, chive cream cheese, red onions, tomato & capers.”  Colorful and delicious!

Others ordered items more suited to lunch like this Truite Poêlée, described as a “pan-roasted Idaho trout with cauliflower, sultana raisins, Marcona almonds & beurre noisette.”  Beautiful presentation!

As you saw from the first picture, I ordered the Chicken & Waffles!  Remember this silly recipe and my Fried Chicken & Waffle Melt from the James Beard Foundation Taste America Event?  Yes, there is something about the combination that I love.  🙂

This version had a perfectly roasted chicken, served with a bacon-chive waffle and Tahitian vanilla bean butter & sauce Chasseur.  Since I am pork-free, I had a plain chive waffle, which was wonderful on its own!

The sauces were perfection when paired together.

And I will leave you with one last look at the perfectly roasted chicken.  🙂

Yes, it was the perfect end to a long weekend of eating and eating…
