It is summertime, so that means barbecue season! If you follow me on Vintage Zest, you know that I tend to make vegetarian dishes at home because it just takes so much work and time for meat dishes (except my favorite Ropa Vieja “Tostada” Pizzas).
To satisfy my cravings, I like to leave it to the experts like the ones at Beachwood BBQ! We met up with a couple of friends and had some great dishes and brews. Yum!
Of course, I love the retro signage just like at their original location in Seal Beach.
To start, my guy ordered a flight of beer. I don’t remember which is which, but he had the Rose Royce, Control Malt Delete, Annihilator, and Still Life, all brewed by Beachwood.
Yes, they brew their own beer, and they have a lot of options! I just love their menu too. 🙂
Now, to the food!
First of all, there are four delicious BBQ sauces to slather all over your barbecue, if you wish.
SO delicious! Not just delicious, but a beautiful and unique presentation as well!
Fried pickles are pretty much the perfect accompaniment to any sandwich! I’ll take these over fries any day. 🙂
Also, make sure to stop by the pretty promenade area and stand on the soapbox at Harvey Milk Park, just across the street. A perfect post-dinner stroll!
Next time, we’ll try more beer and food. The Berliner Weisse Steamed Mussels, Smoked Portobello “Fries”, and Lamb Burger are calling my name, and my guy has a little beer list of his own. 🙂
