It is summertime, so that means barbecue season! If you follow me on Vintage Zest, you know that I tend to make vegetarian dishes at home because it just takes so much work and time for meat dishes (except my favorite Ropa Vieja “Tostada” Pizzas).
To satisfy my cravings, I like to leave it to the experts like the ones at Beachwood BBQ! We met up with a couple of friends and had some great dishes and brews. Yum!
Of course, I love the retro signage just like at their original location in Seal Beach.
To start, my guy ordered a flight of beer. I don’t remember which is which, but he had the Rose Royce, Control Malt Delete, Annihilator, and Still Life, all brewed by Beachwood.
Yes, they brew their own beer, and they have a lot of options! I just love their menu too.
Now, to the food!
First of all, there are four delicious BBQ sauces to slather all over your barbecue, if you wish.
SO delicious! Not just delicious, but a beautiful and unique presentation as well!
Fried pickles are pretty much the perfect accompaniment to any sandwich! I’ll take these over fries any day.
Also, make sure to stop by the pretty promenade area and stand on the soapbox at Harvey Milk Park, just across the street. A perfect post-dinner stroll!
Next time, we’ll try more beer and food. The Berliner Weisse Steamed Mussels, Smoked Portobello “Fries”, and Lamb Burger are calling my name, and my guy has a little beer list of his own.
