After our dinner at The Boiling Crab for my aunt’s birthday, I suggested that we walk down to Beard Papa for a small dessert!
Since each franchise has different owners, they all have different items to sell in addition to the cream puffs. For example, this one had…
Macarons! Also, lots of iced drinks, little cakes, and more. I’ll have to check those out next time!
Here is the display case with so many of the goodies!
A closer look at the macarons, which reminds me of the last time I saw so many colorful ones in Paris at Pierre Hermé. I would go with Earl Gray!
Hm… In this case I would go with either Taro or Orange Blossom!
Now to the cream puffs! You have the choice of several kinds of cream puff shells. These are the Paris Brest (which looks like a churro), Cookie puff, and Cocoa puffs (not to be confused with the cereal).
Eclair puffs with dark chocolate…
And more eclairs! The ones below are mint flavored. 🙂
Now, to the filling of the cream puffs! You get to choose the cream inside. The day’s flavors were vanilla, dulce de leche, and strawberry.
Most everyone chose eclair puffs with vanilla or dulce de leche fillings. Also, I suggest the regular size not the mini eclairs because of the filling to cream ratio.
I ordered a Cookie Puff with Strawberry filling. So good!
Next time, macarons and I’ll try the Paris Brest! It’s always good to have a plan, right? 😉
