I was happy to be invited to the 5th Annual OC Brew Ha Ha held at Irvine Lake.  I was not sure what to expect, but I ended up having a complete blast!  I was sad to miss the Brew Hee Haw at the OC fair earlier this summer, but I sent my trusty correspondent to cover the event via Instagram.  Lucky me that I was available to enjoy this fantastic event!

Of course, this being The Episodic Eater, I will share all the eats of the day (can you say food trucks galore?), some of the brews, and a ton of the atmosphere!

Of course, since this is The Episodic Eater, I wanted to share all the food.  Therefore, I enlisted some happy attendees of the festivities to show me all the deliciousness that they were enjoying.  I couldn’t possibly eat it all, so thanks to my new foodie friends!

But I’m getting ahead of myself!  First of all, the event was held at the expansive Irvine Lake and even though it was nice and hot, there was plenty of shade, water misters, and cold brews, of course!

Truth be told, I am not the beer expert of the crew at The Episodic Eater.  However, there are more than enough breweries for the amateurs to learn a thing or two, and entertain the pros too!

There was even brewed root beer for the designated drivers!

My friend liked this brewery name, so we tried it just for the heck of it.  🙂

Back to the atmosphere!  There was live music, free haircuts, beer experts speaking on the stage, and more!

Some of my favorite parts of the grounds were the fun games scattered around!  They had live-action foosball, regular foosball, billiards, corn hole, life-size jenga, and fun photo opps!

Now… are you ready for a WHOLE lotta food?  I’m going to share with you all of the great options to choose from at the festival.  Let’s go!

So. Many. Options.  It was amazing!  Basically, any kind of food that you could ever ask for to accompany your beer was there.  And even though I didn’t photograph much of the beer, there were even more of those to choose from.  So you’ll just have to imagine that I made it to the best backyard BBQ ever and go for yourself next time!  Then you can choose your own drinking and eating adventure!
