I was excited to check out a preview for the upcoming Costa Mesa Restaurant Week held at the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity at SoCo.
Let’s take a look at some of the amazing restaurants that will be participating, plus a few restaurants that are soon to open. But first, a bit about the event itself!
A silent auction was held during the event to benefit Someone Cares Soup Kitchen and Tutoring Program. I spied everything from gift baskets to autographed sports memorabilia!
Now, we sampled so many goodies that for the most part, I will let the pictures speak for themselves. Take a look!
Fennel Salami : Brigante (soft, mellow sheep’s milk), Molinari fennel salami, whole grain mustard, roasted tomatoes, arugula
Carne apache : beef heart tartare, serrano, garlic, egg yolk
Elixir de Boricua : Don Q rum, green chartreuse, lime, pineapple syrup, pineapple mint
Rosella Tartlet : tea infused pastry cream, strawberry basil whip cream, chocolate tart shell
It was a great to try so many great Costa Mesa restaurants at the launch party, and I am definitely looking forward to the opening of Pueblo Tapas and SusieCakes. The hard part will be to choose which delicious places to choose for the upcoming Costa Mesa Restaurant Week!
